Advanced Services Engineer - CSS Database Infrastructure Specialist - UK Government Security Clearance, Bristol

We’re seeking an experienced and self-motivated engineer to work onsite with customers in the UK as our Database Infrastructure Specialist. This is an onsite role with customers 5 days per week, in London and UK South.

What You’ll Do

Become a trusted technical advisor for our customers, developing deep knowledge of their systems and needs. Support infrastructure and platform deployments onsite and in the cloud, delivering services that drive customer success and innovation.

• Provide production support for Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), ensuring stability, availability, and performance of critical systems. Install, configure, and operate Oracle Infrastructure Platform products like Exadata.
• Deliver solution architecture advice, reviews, and support
• Analyze product issues to find resolutions
• Resolve complex issues, research technical inquiries, and handle user problems
• Support software installation, configuration, health checks, and performance assessments
• Educate customers on product features, upgrades, and patches
• Provide proactive support to ensure operational excellence of Oracle Infrastructure & Platform deployments in cloud, on-premise, or hybrid environments
• Act as a trusted technology advisor, understanding customer requirements and environments
• Maintain effective relationships within the global CCS team, with Oracle TAMs, Product Support, and customer staff
• Require 6-10 years’ hands-on experience with Oracle Database and Infrastructure products, especially Oracle Engineered Systems including Exadata, OCI, or similar platforms
• Strong Oracle DBA experience is essential
• Hands-on experience with GoldenGate or Oracle security products
• Advanced OS administration skills with Unix/Linux; Solaris, Solaris-Cluster, and Windows skills are a plus
• UK Government security clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance
