Job summary

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 7 Advanced Research Nurse to expand access to world‑class cancer research through dual training in Oncology and Haematology.

Based at CCC Wirral and CCC Liverpool, you will act as an advanced autonomous practitioner, supporting patients on commercial, non‑commercial and ECMC trials, delivering care within trial protocols and clinical governance.

Qualifications

• NMC Level One Nurse, with current registration.
• BSC Professional practice or equivalent.
• Post Registration qualification in specialist area.
• ICH / GCP trained.
• Evidence of continuous personal, professional development.
• Advanced Communication Skills.
• Educated to Masters level.
• Experience of managing complex studies.

Responsibilities

• Support the senior management team in ensuring service users’ needs are met through delivery of high-quality care.
• Act as an advanced autonomous practitioner, supporting patients on Commercial/non-commercial and ECMC clinical trials.
• Demonstrate high level of practice and knowledge, working as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team providing professional and clinical support in the care of patients on clinical trials.
• Provide expert care and treatment to patients within trials protocols and clinical guidelines; function as health care provider, educator, supervisor to junior staff, researcher, auditor and governance implementer.
• Travel across NHS trust sites within Merseyside and Cheshire; dual base location at CCC Wirral and CCC Liverpool.
