The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 7 Advanced Research Nurse. The role combines advanced autonomous nursing with dual oncology/haematology training to oversee patients in cancer medicine trials across multiple sites. Regular travel to Wirral, Liverpool and Aintree is involved.

You will contribute to trial protocols, lead education of junior staff, and support clinical governance within a high-quality care framework.

Competenze

BSc in professional practice or equivalent.
Relevant post-registration qualification in a specialist area.
ICH/GCP training.
Evidence of continuous personal and professional development.

Mansioni

Act as an advanced autonomous practitioner supporting patients on cancer medicines clinical trials.
Provide expert care and treatment within agreed trial protocols and clinical guidelines.
Work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team, giving professional and clinical support to trial patients.
Support the senior management team in meeting service users' needs through high-quality care.
Deliver a person-centred approach that supports patients' independence and wellbeing.
Supervise and educate junior staff.
Carry out research, audit and clinical governance work, and implement research governance.
Act as a clinical advocate for patients.
Undertake dual training in oncology and haematology systemic anticancer treatments, including haematology and chemotherapy.
Travel regularly between CCC Wirral, Liverpool and Aintree, and to other Clinical Network sites within reason
