About The Role

We're looking for a Process Modelling Engineer/Researcher to join a team that contributes vital work to innovative projects with world-renowned customers across various industries. Reporting to the Capability Lead, you'll model composite manufacturing processes in the digital space, designing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes for our customers.


While ideally, you'll have experience modeling various specific composites manufacturing methods, a solid core of relevant skills will be supported for development into a broader range of manufacturing techniques.

What are we looking for?

  • Academic, industrial, or both experiences - ideally, you'll be educated to Masters or PhD level within composites process modelling or have relevant equivalent experience in modelling, simulations, and optimisation.
  • Example expertise areas include (but are not limited to): advanced/technical textiles manufacturing, prepreg/preform manufacturing, moulding, reinforcements and matrix characterization, nano and novel composites, sensors, process control.
  • Industrial experience in fields such as aerospace, wind, energy, high-performance automotive, and transport is advantageous.
  • Experience with data science and machine learning techniques for design or process optimization is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of process/mathematical modelling fundamentals, including fluid mechanics, thermal modelling, FE methods, and mathematical skills. Transferable skills are valued.
  • Experience or specialization in specific manufacturing methods or a broad range of techniques in composite manufacturing.
