Advanced Research Engineer - Artificial Intelligence

About The Role

As a Large Language Model Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising large-scale language models (LLM). You will have a variety of stakeholders, in the enterprise and engineering teams at the NCC. You will work closely with our research and engineering teams to create state-of-the-art natural language processing (NLP) solutions that drive our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimise and fine-tune models for performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate language models into various applications.
  • Conduct research to stay updated with the latest advancements in NLP and machine learning.
  • Implement and maintain scalable and robust NLP pipelines.
  • Develop multi-agent, multi-modal systems interpreting images, video, robotic motion, and sensor outputs.
  • Analyse and interpret model performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
  • Document model development processes and results.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying large language models.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • In-depth knowledge of NLP techniques, including tokenisation, embeddings, transformers, and attention mechanisms.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in a related field.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Contributions to open-source NLP projects or publications in top-tier conferences/journals.
