Advanced Qualified Social Worker
Children in Care
Location: Merseyside
Pay Rate: £44 per hour

We are looking for experienced and passionate Social Workers to join a dedicated Children in Care Team. This role involves working in a busy, supportive team assessing and working with children and families, intervening where children need support to provide help at an earlier stage. You will work in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, delivering person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Your social work expertise and communication skills will help establish and maintain relationships with service users and agencies to meet their needs.

You will be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes for children, striving to provide the best outcomes through best practices. Your passion for supporting children and families to thrive and flourish is paramount. Our priority is to protect the vulnerable and operate efficiently.

Perfect candidate will be:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experienced working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
  • Experienced in Court, Children in Need, and Child Protection cases.
  • Supporting child and family planning, pre-proceedings, and court proceedings.
  • Understanding factors impacting children such as abuse and neglect.
  • Ability to undertake Child & Family Assessments with effective analysis, decision-making, planning, and review.
  • Capable of effective direct work with children and families.
  • Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking.
  • Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and issues.
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement for the best outcomes.
  • Excellent mediation and negotiation skills.
  • Skilled at building relationships with children and families.
  • Committed to high-quality service delivery.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary, interagency settings.
  • At least 2 years qualified experience.
