Job summary

Honeywell in Edinburgh is seeking an Advanced Project Engineer to plan, coordinate and deliver complex engineering programmes in aerospace and space communication. You will collaborate with Systems, RF, Hardware, Firmware and Mechanical engineering teams, plus Production, Quality and Supply Chain, to drive engineering activities and keep milestones on track.

• Support development and delivery of advanced aerospace and space communication products, including complex electronic and Software Defined Radio systems.

Job description

As an Advanced Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination and successful execution of complex engineering programmes.

This role requires a combination of strong engineering judgement, project leadership and stakeholder management. The individual will be expected to proactively drive engineering activities rather than simply track progress, identifying issues early and coordinating the engineering team to deliver effective solutions.

The successful candidate will act as a key engineering interface with Programme Management and work closely with Systems, RF, Hardware, Firmware, Mechanical engineering teams as well as Production, Quality, Supply Chain and other functional teams to coordinate engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle.

In this role, you will support the development and delivery of advanced aerospace and space communication products, including complex electronic and Software Defined Radio systems. You will combine strong engineering judgement with project execution skills to identify risks, resolve issues and maintain progress towards programme. milestones.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Edinburgh, UK location on an on‑site work schedule.
