Raytheon is seeking an experienced business development professional to join the APS R&C team, acting as the main conduit to European defence primes such as Leonardo, Airbus, Hensholdt, General Dynamics, SAAB, Rheinmettal, Terma, and others. The role involves building customer relationships, understanding customer strategies, shaping and developing pipelines, and collaborating on proposals to close deals. Interactions with European defence officials may be required. The individual will be jointly responsible for developing and maintaining the APS pipeline.

What You Will Do
  • Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs, partners, and suppliers to support APS pursuits and captures.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer engagement with OEMs.
  • Identify and develop new leads for APS capabilities to grow international bookings.
  • Support export licensing efforts in coordination with opportunity teams and Global Trade representatives.
  • Collaborate with Raytheon R&C, product lines, and Global Accounts Team to develop strategies for OEMs and increase APS content on OEM platforms.
  • Analyze market and competitive intelligence, understanding competitor positioning in European markets.
  • Represent the voice of the customer for business development and satisfaction issues.
  • Handle customer requests professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain clear communication with all Raytheon stakeholders, providing regular updates.
  • Travel up to 50% within Europe.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, STEM, or related field.
  • At least 7 years in Business Development or Defence Sales, including contract shaping and capturing.

  • Ability to understand products like RF sensors, EO/IR sensors, and Electronic Warfare within larger architectures.
  • Knowledge of European procurement processes.
  • Effective relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Unquestionable ethical conduct.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience supporting formal business proposals.
  • Military and NATO experience.
  • Familiarity with US FCPA and ITAR requirements.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
