An opportunity exists for an Advanced Practitioner Social Worker within Falkirk Learning Disability Team. The successful candidate will operate within a multi-disciplinary team, responsible for assessment and risk management for adults with learning disabilities. Strong mentorship and leadership skills are required, along with necessary qualifications such as DipSw and SSSC registration. The role supports a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

  • Registration with SSSC is essential.
  • You must be able to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.

  • Hold a complex caseload and offer mentorship to less experienced colleagues.

Salary: £44,815 - £48,480 per year

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced Social Worker to join Falkirk Learning Disability Team in the role of Advanced Practitioner. You will be a part of a multi-disciplinary Health and Social Work Team delivering assessment, care and risk management and review to adults with a learning disability (and a range of additional complex needs). As an Advanced Practitioner, you will be expected to hold a complex caseload, offer mentorship to less experienced colleagues and students, chair complex meetings and contribute to a range of service developments. You must also hold or gain a Post Graduate certificate in a relevant field.

The post is based within Camelon Social Work Office; however, you may be required to work from any other Falkirk Council premises, and you must have the ability to travel as per service demand.

A DipSw or equivalent and registration with SSSC are essential.
