Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is looking for an experienced Advanced Practitioner to provide urgent and emergency care at Royal Derby Hospital. This role involves assess patients, conducting diagnostic tests, and leading effective patient care. Ideal candidates will have NMC/HCPC/GPhC registration and experience in clinical decision-making. Qualifications

  • Professional Registration (NMC, HCPC, or GPhC).
  • Independent Prescriber (non-medical prescribing certification).
  • Postgraduate Education: Minimum of two Level 7 modules, including Clinical Assessment Skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in autonomous clinical decision making.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse, high performing team.
  • Confidence, compassion, and clarity under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, treat, or refer patients with a wide range of conditions.
  • Lead on safe, effective, evidence based care in a triage setting.
  • Conduct and interpret diagnostic investigations.
  • Liaise with specialist services and ensure appropriate handovers/referrals.
  • Maintain meticulous records in line with governance and best practice.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assess, diagnose, treat, or refer patients with a wide range of conditions.
