  • Salary: Band 8b (£62,484 - £72,865) plus 30% evening and 45% weekend enhancements

Main duties of the job

What You'll Be Doing:

In this autonomous, advanced role, you'll be at the frontline of patient triage, making quick, informed decisions that influence outcomes.

Each shift, you'll:

  • Assess, diagnose, treat, or refer patients with various conditions.
  • Lead safe, effective, evidence-based care in triage.
  • Conduct and interpret diagnostic investigations.
  • Liaise with specialists and ensure proper handovers/referrals.
  • Maintain accurate records per governance standards.
  • Stay updated with evidence-based practice and CPD.

What We're Looking For:

  • Registration with NMC, HCPC, or GPhC
  • Independent Prescriber certification
  • At least two Level 7 modules, including Clinical Assessment Skills
  • Experience in autonomous clinical decision-making
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse team
  • Confidence, compassion, and clarity under pressure

Job responsibilities

Clinical:

  • Practice autonomously without direct supervision
  • Use advanced skills to assess, diagnose, treat, and refer patients

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Registered with NMC, HCPC, or GPhC
  • Independent non-medical prescriber
  • At least two Level 7 modules, including clinical examination assessment
  • MSc in Advanced Practice
