A new opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Practitioner to join our fantastic team at SELDOC.
SELDOC is a successful GP cooperative, operating for over 25 years across South London, providing services for 2 million patients.
We are offering a mixture of sessional roles, including face-to-face assessments at base, home visits and telephone advice from base.
We are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate Advanced Practitioners from a nursing or healthcare professional background, with experience in primary and/or urgent care and who are educated to an advanced level of practice (level 7), with the ability to work autonomously.
Responsibilities
- Will work autonomously within a health care team consisting of Shift Managers, Advanced Practitioners, GPs, Drivers, Call Handlers and Receptionists.
- The composition of this team will vary from shift to shift and Advanced Practitioners must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with all staff members.
- Be clinically competent to deal with patients presenting of all ages with an undifferentiated diagnosis.
- Will be required to use a multi skilled approach. Whilst using the available technology, the AP will use effective listening and communication skills and patient records to make safe clinical decisions and document these accurately.
- Must be able to retrieve and use information regarding healthcare provision in the patient’s locality, allowing appropriate referral where necessary.

About The Candidate
Qualifications:
- Current registration with professional body
- Masters level (or working towards) education in Advanced Practice
- Postgraduate level qualification in Advanced Practice
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Recognised Prescribing Qualification
Experience:
- Experience of working autonomously, diagnosing and treating patients
- Experience in paediatrics, including children under the age of two (2)
- Experience in mental health assessment
- Experience of telephone triage
- Experience of working as a practitioner in a primary care environment, Emergency Department, Urgent Care/Treatment Centre, MAU/EAU or other first contact setting
- Evidence of comprehensive history taking and assessment skills.
