A group of colleges in Leeds is seeking an Advanced Practitioner - Quality, Teaching & Learning Improvement. The role involves supporting curriculum teams, coaching staff, and delivering training to enhance teaching and learning. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in effective teaching and mentoring, and must be passionate about improving educational standards within a collaborative environment. This position requires one day of teaching per week within a curriculum department.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practitioner - Quality, Teaching & Learning Improvement (QTLI) to support our journey to excellence across Leeds City College, Keighley College and Harrogate College. This role that will be integral to the development of Teaching Learning & Assessment (TLA) across our curriculum departments.
As the Advanced Practitioner (QTLI) you will be part of a credible and experienced central TLA team providing excellent customer service and support for curriculum departments in helping them to drive forward the Luminate TLA Strategy, alongside the improvement plans for their areas.
You will be an innovative teacher with a proven record of ‘good or better’ teaching, learning and assessment practice. Responsibilities will include coaching staff, completing short lesson visits and learning walks, delivering training to maximise the development of our staff and working alongside curriculum managers to plan and measure the impact of quality improvement strategies in their areas.
We would be particularly interested in applicants who can demonstrate a track record of implementing TLA strategies with impact, leading changing and innovation and/or have previous experience in mentoring and coaching staff to bring about improvements. You will have a confident and empathic approach and be able to build relationships with colleagues built on trust and credibility, getting the best out of those that you work with.
There will be a requirement to deliver teaching in a curriculum department appropriate to your skills and expertise (1 day a week).
