Liquid Personnel are currently working exclusively alongside our esteemed client in the East Midlands to recruit for an Advanced Practitioner - Protection and Permanency to join their Child Protection and Permanency team. Responsibilities of a Child Protection and Permanence Advanced Practitioner:
  1. Work as part of the team delivering services to Children In Need/In Need of Protection within an integrated service that provides high-quality support to families and carers.
  2. Mentor and supervise other social workers and social work assistants.
  3. Model and uphold exceptional social work values and practices, supporting the development of colleagues within the service.
  4. Manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring children are safeguarded and promoting good social work practice.
  5. Salary: £42,708 – £45,718 plus a £3,000 market supplement.
  6. Very low caseloads and a supportive management structure.
  7. Clear career progression and CPD opportunities.
  8. Free onsite parking.
Key requirements for the role:
  1. Current SWE registration and valid right to work in the UK.
  2. Completion of your ASYE and significant post-qualified experience in Child Protection and Care Planning.
  3. UK driving license.
  4. Knowledge of child-care legislation.
  5. Skilled in risk management and assessment of children’s needs.
  6. Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex information simply.
  7. Understanding of issues affecting parenting capacity and the impact of deprivation on child development.
  8. Experience with the Signs of Safety methodology.
