This 0.6 WTE (22.5-hour) post provides a rare opportunity to become part of our fully integrated multidisciplinary Pain Team, which includes pain consultants, nurses, physiotherapists, a psychologist, an occupational therapist, a rehabilitation specialist, a social connector, and administrative staff.
Please refer to the attached Job Description and Person Specification for full details of the role and responsibilities. It is important to note that this is not a developmental or apprenticeship role. The successful candidate will therefore be required to hold a Master’s degree in Advanced Practice (or equivalent qualification), possess a high level of clinical expertise, and demonstrate experience of multidisciplinary working within pain services. A kind, compassionate, and enthusiastic approach is essential.
The post holder will work in accordance with the Trust’s Advanced Practice Framework, professional codes of conduct, and relevant legislation, including non-medical prescribing. They will provide highly specialised clinical care across all four pillars of advanced practice—clinical practice, leadership, education, and research—demonstrating professional autonomy and accountability.
In addition, the post holder will play a key leadership role within the Pain Service, contributing to the development and implementation of clinical policies, guidelines, and education programmes in collaboration with the Consultant Practitioner and Lead Anaesthetic Consultant.
Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2025/6 rates, inclusive of a 3.6% pay award which will be implemented later this year. If you join before the implementation date, the pay award will be backdated to your start date. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2024/5 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2024/25 | NHS Employers )
