Hinckley & Bosworth Community Hospital, LE10 3DA

Competitive Salary: Band 8b (£62,484 - £72,865), with 30% evening enhancements and 45% weekend enhancements.

Main duties of the job

Join our Out of Hours Hub team in Leicester as an Advanced Practitioner! Use your clinical skills to make a real difference, helping patients during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job responsibilities

Qualifications and experience required
  • Professional registration with NMC, HCPC, or GPhC
  • Masters level qualification or equivalent with demonstrated clinical assessment skills
  • Experience working autonomously in multidisciplinary teams
Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Registered Adult Nurse (NMC), Paramedic (HCPC), or Pharmacist (GPhC)
  • Registered as an independent non-medical prescriber
  • Minimum of 2 modules at Level 7, including assessment of clinical examination skills
  • MSc in Advanced Practice
Experience
  • Substantial autonomous practice in a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in telephone triage
  • Evidence of autonomous physical examination and assessment skills
  • Knowledge of complex and common conditions in primary care for adults and children
  • Experience in nurse-led clinics, emergency care centres, out of hours facilities, or walk-in centres
  • Independent Prescribing experience
  • Use of examination skills in practice
  • Experience in Emergency Care and General Practice
Skills, Knowledge, and Personal Qualities
  • Ability to complete concise clinical histories and physical examinations during telephone consultations
  • Formulate differential diagnoses and management plans
  • Participate in service development
  • Awareness of accountability in clinical practice
