Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an experienced Band 7 Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Occupational Therapy Service based in Lochgilphead, Argyll and Bute. You will provide advanced clinical expertise and lead professional practice within a multi-disciplinary team.

You will deliver highly specialist assessments and interventions for children and young people, supervise colleagues, and contribute to service development. Some travel within the locality is required.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is mandatory for practice.
• Advanced therapeutic assessment and intervention for children.
• Ability to lead professional practice and supervise colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly specialist assessment and intervention for children and young people.
• Provide professional guidance, supervision and support to the Children’s OT team.
• Contribute to service development and implement best practice to maintain high clinical standards.
• Travel across Mid Argyll, Kintyre and Islay, and wider Argyll and Bute as required.
