United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust seeks an Advanced Practitioner in Ultrasound/Sonography (Band 7) to lead ultrasound services across Lincolnshire. The post involves obstetric, abdominal, and vascular imaging, with weekend 7.5-hour shifts and travel to multiple sites within the Trust.
You will hold a PgDip in ultrasound, be HCPC registered, and participate in ongoing CPD. A relocation package and recruitment premia apply, with a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Job summary
We invest around £18 million each year in improving our clinical services by replacing and upgrading medical equipment, modernising estate and facilities and improving information and technology infrastructure. Each year, we treat more than 200,000 accident and emergency patients and carry out more than 80,000 procedures.
Sonographer lead, the ultrasound departments at ULTH incorporate a wide range of procedures which includes abdominal, obstetric, gynaecological, small parts and vascular procedures. We have a strong commitment to personal develop in all aspect of ultrasound such as led fine needle aspiration of Head & Neck nodules and HyCoSy.
Audit and CPD is actively encouraged and bi-monthly audit meetings for ultrasound are ongoing.

The successful candidate must hold the Post Graduate Diploma in ultrasound (or equivalent) and be HCPC Registered. The ultrasound department is currently working a 7 day week.
The post holder will be an effective communicator, able to work alone or as part of a team, demonstrate organisational skills and have the ability to work to a high standard, both technically and in patient care.
Travel to other sites by means other than public transport within Trust to facilitate a 7-day week working if required.
