A prominent healthcare organization in London is seeking an Advanced Practitioner: Highly Specialist Dietitian to join their dynamic Surgical Services team. This role focuses on providing a high standard of evidence-based dietetic care to surgical inpatients and exploring outpatient services. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term contract for 9 months with a possible extension to 12 months, with the opportunity to do something different and upskill for surgical services. We are looking for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our friendly and dynamic team at NMUH.
The Dietetic Department is part of the Therapies group (Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech & Language Therapists). We are the first Nutrition & Dietetic Department in London to commence seven day services. You will be required to liaise closely and effectively with the multidisciplinary team members to provide an excellent service.
The Nutrition & Dietetic department at NMUH is part of the Therapies Department provides a service to all inpatients and outpatients on site, serving clients from Enfield, Haringey and other boroughs - particularly for oncology.
Our aim is to provide a high standard of evidence-based clinical services, to all clients who have an underlying medical condition, which requires adjustment to normal dietary intake.
As the lead for Surgical services, you will be responsible for providing a service to other wards and clinics as and when required in response to service needs, Trust bed pressures, as requested by the Head of Nutrition & Dietetics.
You will explore setting up, or participating in surgical outpatient clinics, within caseload capacity and needs of the service, and take the lead in providing expert dietetic advice in making decisions on initiating artificial nutritional support.
