This position is for an advanced practitioner within the fostering team. Responsibilities include supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure high standards of care for children in our care. You will be involved in recruiting and assessing new foster carers, including completing form F assessments.
The role requires some evening and weekend work, supporting at carer events, support groups, recruitment events, and training sessions.
Supervising social workers provide regular support, build strong relationships with foster families, and ensure they understand children's care plans. You will act as a key contact between the fostering service, foster carers, and children or young people, maintaining regular contact through visits, calls, and other means.
You will support foster carers' training and development, ensuring they meet learning objectives and understand policies and procedures. Ensuring the safety and well-being of children, including safeguarding concerns, is paramount.
You will collaborate with stakeholders such as social workers, local authorities, and other professionals to meet children's needs.
