Advanced Practitioner - Clinical Assessment Service

Location:Anstey Frith House, Leicester, LE3 8RN

Working Patterns:Weekday evenings and Weekend days, afternoons and evenings. Working on a 4-week rolling rota for part time hours.

Competitive salary: £62,484 - £72,865 per annum (pro rata) with additional 30% enhancement for evening work, and 45% enhancement for weekend work

Job responsibilities

What your typical day looks like:

  • Provideautonomous, advanced clinical care
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, and refer patients effectively
  • Conduct and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations
  • Initiate specialist referrals where appropriate
  • Maintainhigh-quality clinical recordsin line with best practice
  • Stay up to date withdevelopments in clinical practice
  • Work within professionalregulatory guidelines and scope of practice

To be a successful Advanced Practitioner youll need:

  • To be registered and practicing with a Professional Body (NMC, HCPC, GPhC)
  • Have evidence of autonomous practice
  • To be a registered non-medical prescriber
  • Have a minimum of x2 modules at Level 7 (including Clinical Assessment Skills)
  • Experienceworking in telephone triage roles
  • Strong clinical decision-making and assessment skills.
Person Specification
Experience
  • Substantial Autonomous practice working and multi-professional team
  • Can show evidence of autonomous assessment skills in practice
  • Can demonstrate a broad and sound knowledge of complex and common conditions in primary care in both adults and children
  • Has experience of autonomous telephone triage.
  • Has experience of working in the OOH environment.
  • Consolidated Independent Prescribing experience.
  • Use of examination skills in practice.
  • Experience of Emergency Care
  • Experience of General Practice
Qualifications
  • Registered Adult Nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), Paramedic registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Registered as an independent non medical prescriber.
  • A minimum of 2 modules at Level 7. One module must have included assessment of clinical examination skills.
  • MSc (Advanced Practice)
