Advanced Practitioner - Children with Disabilities Team

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for an Advanced Practitioner within the Children with Disabilities Team to work full time based in Bedford.

The salary for this permanent Advanced Practitioner job is up to £54,624 per annum.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide professional, reflective monthly supervision and support to staff and ensure the Personal Development Reviews of allocated staff in line with departmental policy.
  2. Maintain and provide expertise in assessments and interventions, acting as a resource to others in the team and wider organisation.
  3. Support the management and development of students on placements, newly qualified staff undertaking ASYE, Social Workers, and Experienced Social Workers and other team members.
  4. Work with individuals facing complex social and family crisis, undertaking a range of assessments, reassessments, and reviews, planning, implementing, and reviewing as necessary (including Mental Capacity Act Assessments and following Best Interests procedures).
  5. Make decisions (within agreed limits) regarding expenditure with a clear audit trail through established Bradford Borough validation procedures and protocols concerning care packages.
  6. Assist in the general workload of the service and assist colleagues under the guidance of Team Managers.
  7. Act as a representative of the Council, where required, to give advice on professional issues including quality assurance and performance.
  8. Work effectively through extensive knowledge of relevant legal framework in the context of national and local structures, policies, procedures, and standards to protect the rights, safety, and wellbeing of service users and carers.
  9. Maintain accurate up-to-date records safely and confidently in accordance with the Council's policies and procedures.
  10. Contribute to the evaluation and analysis of recording and the use of information systems to inform good practice and maintain a focus on positive outcomes for service users/carers.
  11. Deputise for the Team Manager as and when required.

Requirements:

  1. A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  2. Understanding of relevant legislation.
  3. Social Work England registered.
