Leeds City Council seeks an experienced Advanced Practitioner for its Children's Services teams in Leeds. The role involves managing a complex caseload across assessments, child protection, and care proceedings, with lead responsibilities where needed. A strong emphasis on relationship-based practice and restorative approaches underpins daily work.

The post provides hybrid working, £32.50 per hour, 37 hours per week, and immediate start options within a supportive local authority environment.

Formación

• Registration with Social Work England is required.
• Significant Children's Social Work experience.
• Strong experience in Child Protection and Court Work.
• Excellent assessment, analytical and report-writing skills.
• Child-centred approach with ability to undertake direct work with children.
• Experience managing complex caseloads and competing priorities.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a complex caseload including Child and Family Assessments, Child in Need plans, Child Protection work and care proceedings.
• Take lead worker responsibilities on more complex cases while guiding colleagues.
• Maintain direct case responsibility; this is not a supervisory role.
• Build strong relationships with children and families, promote family-led decision making and restorative practices.
