Northamptonshire Children’s Trust Limited is seeking an Advanced Practitioner for Children in Care. This pivotal role involves managing a small, complex case load of looked after children and requires a qualified social worker with strong analytical skills. An Advanced Practitioner will hold a small, complex case load that will include high risk, high need looked after children. This will involve collaborative working with the children and young people, their families and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome possible.
This role will require you to have a strong desire to develop social work expertise to support the Children’s Trust with its improvement journey.
As an Advanced Practitioner, you will be confident in your analysis and decision making to deliver purposeful and effective social care. You will be skilled in supervision, performance management and improvement techniques to ensure high quality of practice.
You will also organise regular group supervisions with social workers and family support workers focusing on specific issues where workers may be stuck or specific themes and issues workers come across with.
This role will require a candidate to have a strong desire to develop social work expertise to support the Children’s Trust with its continuous improvement journey.
You will be a qualified social worker and have the commitment and passion to be at the forefront of delivering best practice and support to children and families we work with. You will be able to manage a small, complex and diverse caseload to the required standards.
You will be confident in your analysis and decision making to deliver purposeful and effective interventions and care planning. You will be skilled in offering mentoring, supervision, and quality assurance of various assessments and reports to ensure high quality and consistent practice.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Barred List check
