Job description

Advanced Practitioner - Children in Care Court Team

You will be responsible for providing practical and social work support for children, young people and families. You will beundertaking assessments, visiting children and their families, carrying out interventions, reviewing the work undertaken, direct work with children, young people and families and any other work identified as necessary. All of this must be based on best evidence and good practice, privileging the best interests of children and young people.

As anAdvanced Practitioner, you will hold a small complex case load that will include high risk, high need, looked after children, a range of high profile court work and will undertake specialist assessments and interventions as required.

What will you be doing?

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will be confident in your analysis and decision making to deliver purposeful and effective social care. You will be skilled in supervision, performance management and improvement techniques to ensure high quality of practice.

This role will require a candidate tohave a strong desire to develop social work expertise to support the Children’s Trust with its continuousimprovement journey.

About you

You willbe a qualified social worker and have the commitment and passion to be at the forefront of delivering best practice and support to children and families. You will be able to manage a complex and diverse caseload to the required standards.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Barred List check
