Locum Advanced Practitioner - Children & Families Team

Location: Bradford, UK     Hourly Rate: £37.00     Contract Length: 3 Months (with potential extension)     Working Pattern: Full-Time or Part-Time     Work Arrangement: Hybrid (remote and in-office as required)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex assessments and interventions in line with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.
  • Develop and review individualised care plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of children while promoting positive family outcomes.
  • Mentor and support junior and less experienced social work staff, providing guidance on complex casework.
  • Lead on specific areas of practice and contribute to the development of service standards and operational effectiveness.
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners to coordinate and deliver integrated support across education, health, and community services.
  • Ensure all case recording is timely, accurate, and meets statutory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration.
  • Significant post-qualification experience within children's social care, ideally in safeguarding, assessment, or family support services.
  • Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising other practitioners or students.
  • Strong understanding of legislation, guidance, and frameworks related to children and families.
