This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a more senior position, supporting a team of experienced Social Workers while continuing to manage a small but complex caseload.

You’ll be joining a well-resourced service with a clear structure, strong leadership, and a genuine commitment to high-quality outcomes for children and families. As an Advanced Practitioner, you’ll offer guidance on complex casework, contribute to service development, and play a key role in improving practice standards across the team.

Key Benefits:

  • Senior-level role with professional development opportunities
  • Long-term contract (6months+) providing job stability
  • Manageable caseload with a focus on complexity, not volume
  • High-performing team with regular supervision and peer support
  • Authority invests in training, development, and practitioner-led practice
  • Competitive rates of pay, reflective of the seniority of the role
  • Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid working
  • Priority access to future roles through Leaders in Care
  • Regular well-being check-ins and support from our agency team

About You:

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Registered with Social Care Wales
  • Extensive experience in Child Protection, Court Work, and CLA
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases
  • Confident mentoring colleagues and supporting good practice
  • Strong understanding of Welsh legislation and safeguarding processes
  • Previous experience in an Advanced Practitioner or senior practitioner role is desirable
