Advanced Practitioner - Child in Need / Child Protection / Permanence Team

Pay Rate: £37 per hour

Job Type: Ongoing, Full-time

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Advanced Practitioner to join our Child in Need / Child Protection / Permanence Team in the vibrant city of Leeds. The successful candidate will manage a diverse and complex caseload, performing Child and Family Assessments, Child in Need interventions, Child Protection, and managing Child Care Proceedings until permanence is achieved. This role is not just about expertise - it's about making a difference with your relational skills, practicing restoratively with children and families, and championing family-led decisions to manage risk and cater to support needs. You will be based in our office during duty weeks, with hybrid work options available. Your working hours will be 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

  1. Manage Complex Caseloads: Tackle a diverse array of cases, taking the lead in collaborative work with fellow social workers.
  2. Restorative Practice: Engage in restorative practice with children and families, encouraging family-driven decisions to manage risks and fulfill support needs.
  3. Relational Work: Establish and maintain strong relationships with children and families through direct work and child-centred approaches.
  4. Organisational Skills: Maintain high practice standards by meeting various demands efficiently with excellent organizational abilities.
  5. Analytical and Written Skills: Utilise strong analytical skills to produce high-quality written assessments and reports.
  6. Team Collaboration: Contribute to a supportive team, sharing your knowledge to enhance a culture of learning.
  7. Mobility: You will need to be able to drive and have access to a car for travel related to work.
