Job responsibilities

What your typical day looks like:

• Provide autonomous, advanced clinical care
• Assess, diagnose, treat, and refer patients effectively
• Conduct and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations
• Maintain high-quality clinical records
• Work as part of a team and collaborate with other staff within DHU

To be a successful Advanced Practitioner you'll need:

• Registered and practicing with a Professional Body
• Registered as a non-medical prescriber
• Minimum of two Level 7 modules
• Autonomous practice in multi-professional teams
• Proven ability to assess and manage complex conditions in adults and children

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

• Skills in ALS/PALS, cannulation, ECG interpretation, plastering, suturing, IRMER & X-ray interpretation, pathology, telephone triage
• Full driving license (for other DHU divisions)
• Masters level education or equivalent (e.g., MSc in Advanced Practice)
• Mentorship qualification

Experience (Essential)

• Substantial autonomous practice in multi-professional teams
• Evidence of autonomous physical assessment skills
• Broad knowledge of complex and common conditions in primary care (adults and children)
• Experience in nurse-led clinics, emergency care, out-of-hours, or walk-in centres
• Consolidated independent prescribing experience
