Job summary

Eden Brown Synergy is seeking an Advanced Practitioner Social Worker in Devon, based in Tavistock. The role offers a contract of at least 3 months, with rates up to £41ph and hybrid working; office presence required for 2.5 days per week.

Location is The Byre Yealmpton, Ivybridge, Devon PL8 2NN. Candidate must be Social Worker with at least 5 years post-qualifying experience and strong knowledge of safeguarding, MCA, Best Interests, DoL and the Care Act 2014.

Qualifications

• Post-qualifying experience of at least 5 years.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and MCA, Best Interests, DoL, and Care Act 2014.
• Ability to provide effective management and supervision.
• Ability to manage waiting lists and reviews.
• Ability to deputise for the team manager.
• SW England registration and eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and conduct proportionate assessments.
• Record outcomes and work with community partners.
• Provide guidance and supervision to the safeguarding team.
• Deputise for the team manager as required.

Job description

Social Workers required as an Advanced Practitioner. for work within the Adults safeguarding Team in the beautiful Devon area. Based in Tavistock Rates up to £41ph. 3 month minimum contract. Flexible, hybrid working arrangements. Required to be in the office 2.5 days per week.

Location - The Byre Yealmpton, Ivybridge, Devon PL8 2NN

Candidate must be:

• Social Worker.
• At least 5yrs post qualifying experience.
• Knowledge and experience of Safeguarding, Mental Capacity Assessments, Best Interests, Deprivation of Liberty, Care Act 2014 - Good legal literacy.
• Able to provide comprehensive and effective management skills and supervision to the team.
• Able to manage the day to day waiting lists and reviewing function.
• Able to provide support and guidance to the team and duty function.
• Be able to deputise for team manager as required.

Ability to respond promptly, carry out proportionate assessment and recording, working closely with community colleagues and health partners as required. Skills in Mental Capacity Assessment, establishing Best Interests and safeguarding.

You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
