Job description

Lambeth Early Onset (LEO) is a borough wide community service working in Lambeth with people experiencing first episode psychosis. The team is part of the research based Early Intervention Model and works intensively with service users and carers for up to three years, promoting social inclusion and recovery. The team consists of professionals skilled in supporting people experiencing psychosis and includes care coordinators (occupational therapists, nurses and social workers), psychiatrists, psychologists, vocational and employment specialists, and an admin team.

We are passionate about supporting people with psychosis and use a holistic approach and psycho-social interventions to do so. We are looking for candidates that share this passion and that are committed to improving the lives of those experiencing mental health difficulties.

LEO is currently under-represented in terms of staff from Black and Ethnic Minority backgrounds and we would strongly encourage people from these backgrounds to apply. Successful applicants will be selected on merit; however, we are committed to using Positive Action to increase the diversity of our workforce.

The Trust encourages and welcomes applications from people with lived experience of mental health challenges. We see this as valuable experience and recognise the necessity of including people with lived experience in our service.

We are the Lambeth Early Onset (LEO) Team and we are seeking a skilled and experienced clinician to undertake our Advanced Practitioner role. This is a permanent position open to qualified and registered: nurses, occupational therapists and social workers.

The role of Advanced Practitioner includes both the supervision of around 4-6 care coordinators in LEO, and also care coordinating a caseload of around 10-15 service users. This a unique and highly sought-after position as it gives clinicians the opportunity to undertake management and supervision responsibilities, whilst also still undertaking frontline work with clients

The successful candidate will be joining a cohesive and supportive team that enjoy working with each other, and we are looking forward to welcoming more enthusiastic and passionate colleagues.

We are committed to ensuring our staff get the most out of their benefits package and understand the importance of a healthy work life balance. There is an extensive range of excellent benefits for you and your family. We want you to feel like you are part of a close knit team at SLaM. It’s important to us that you valued and appreciated and that are why we have a comprehensive benefits package on offer
