Are you seeking career advancement but feel limited by your current employer's demands for your expertise, resulting in high and complex caseloads? Whether you're an agency worker aiming for a senior role or a permanent staff member seeking growth opportunities, this position offers a pathway forward.

These roles are within the safeguarding team, managing referrals from section 47 through to permanence, including cases requiring additional support from the council or CIC team.

You will work closely with the Team Manager, assisting in practice development and supervising students and ASYE workers to promote best practices, with a protected caseload of 8.

Salaries range from £46,731 to £49,764.

Locations include: Cotswolds, Tewkesbury, Stroud, Forest of Dean, Cheltenham, Gloucester.

The package includes:

  • Welcome payment of £4,000
  • Annual retention payment of £2,000
  • Relocation package of up to £8,000
  • Flexible working options
  • Generous annual leave starting at 25.5 days, increasing to 30.5 days after five years, with the option to purchase an additional 10 days per year

The Council is committed to providing timely support for every child, focusing on continuous improvement, effective social work practices (systemic and relational approaches), and empowering staff to make a real difference. The team structure supports manageable caseloads, including a Team Manager, Advanced Practitioner, and four Social Workers per team.

If you're interested in settling into an authority offering long-term prospects in some of England’s most beautiful countryside, please send your CV to Chris@leadersincare.co.uk or call 07897 024978.

As this is a statutory role, you must hold a social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
