Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Neurological Physiotherapist (Band 7) to work across outpatient clinics and in patients’ homes, delivering highly specialist neurological assessment and rehabilitation.

The role combines direct patient care with service development, education and clinical leadership for adults with complex neurological conditions, requiring advanced clinical reasoning and a commitment to maximizing patient independence.

Qualifications

• Degree-level physiotherapy qualification and HCPC registration.
• Postgraduate level 7 studies or equivalent (e.g., bobath course).
• Independent and supplementary prescribing (V300) or capability for PGD training in injection therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced neurological physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation for adults.
• Manage a complex caseload in outpatient clinics and home visits.
• Lead, supervise and mentor junior staff and students.
• Contribute to specialist neuro clinics and service development.
• Support audits, research and quality improvement initiatives.
