It is a Band 8a post, with scope to be offered as a developmental role from Band 7-8a dependant on experience and completion of appropriate competencies, where you will be able to expand your expertise in working with complexities and co-morbidities like Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia and Long-Covid and really make a difference to how patients are able to engage with the world around them and achieve their goals. This is a 1 year fixed term or secondment opportunity.

Part time hours will be considered if successful at interview
You will participate in triage for both spinal and pain patients referred into the IPASS service with support from the MDT where required, assimilating and gathering information to enable you to achieve this.
You'll be responsible for the assessment and treatment for patients experiencing chronic pain and fatigue and helping them set and achieve value-based goals alongside supporting and working others within the multi-disciplinary team.
You will lead and deliver groups aimed at supporting those experiencing pain including specific movement and fibromyalgia groups.
You will work in collaboration with other specialists in Chronic Pain and Spinal conditions including Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Medics to deliver specialist interventions to people with ongoing pain.
You will be required to demonstrate development through a competency based evidence gathering process and be supported by experienced staff to do so.
You'll be based at Finchampstead and deliver care in a number of premises across the West of Berkshire as required.

The must haves for this role:
High level of experience working in a musculoskeletal setting including assessment and treatment of spinal conditions.
Registered and accredited with Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) as a Physiotherapist as well as be registered with the CSP.
Experience of working with chronic pain patients and an understanding of the specific needs of this patient group.
