Job summary

Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join the Specialist Neuro-Muscular Team. You will deliver specialist physiotherapy assessments and interventions for children and young people with neuromuscular conditions, within a supportive multidisciplinary setting.

The role requires leadership of the paediatric neuro-muscular service, managing complex caseloads and providing expert guidance to the team.

Qualifications

• Registered physiotherapist with degree/diploma in physiotherapy.
• HPC registration.
• Postgraduate paediatric qualification or MSc.
• Portfolio evidence of reflective practice.
• Member of APCP.
• Research qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the specialist physiotherapy service for children and young people with neuromuscular conditions across the region.
• Manage a complex caseload, providing expert assessment, treatment and ongoing care.
• Work as part of the multidisciplinary neuromuscular team to deliver high-quality, family-centred care.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to join the Specialist Neuro-Muscular Team at Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.

Working within a supportive and compassionate multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and intervention for children and young people with neuro-muscular conditions, delivering high-quality, family-centred care and supporting them to achieve meaningful outcomes.

• We are looking for a skilled and motivated Physiotherapist with experience of working with children and young people with complex needs.
• You will have a strong understanding of the impact of disability on children and families, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering family-centred care.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Neuromuscular Therapy Team Leader , some of your responsibilities will include:
