Job description

We Are Hiring

• Department: Pharmacy
• Schedule: 7 on 7 off, Monday-Sunday 9:30a-8:00p
• Hospital: UAB St Vincent's East
• Location: Trussville, AL

What You Will Do

Perform activities or tasks in specialty pharmacy services, including medicine history, purchasing, inventory management, nuclear pharmacy, and Patient Assistance Programs (PAP) as a pharmacy technician.

• Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
• Prepare orders and maintain inventory for specialty pharmacy areas.
• Repackage bulk medications.
• Receive and store incoming supplies.
• Serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patients, and healthcare professionals by providing necessary information.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Pharmacy Technician credential from the Alabama Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire or transfer date.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience, OR an Associate's or Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.

Additional Preferences

Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) required.
