Job Description:

NHSGGC Pharmacy Services at the Royal Hospital for Children/QEUH are seeking an Advanced Pharmacist – National Paediatric Stem Cell/Cellular Therapy Service & Paediatric Haematology/Oncology (Band 8a, 37 hours).

This role involves working within the Scottish National Paediatric Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) and Cellular Therapy service, providing expert pharmaceutical input to this high-risk area. The pharmacist will collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement a wider Paediatric ATMP service for Scotland, working across NHS Scotland, the UK, and the EU to ensure effective governance and delivery. The role also supports care delivery within the Women and Children’s team at NHS GGC and involves participation in research, quality improvement, and service development.

Ideal candidates will be confident, enthusiastic, and committed to professional development, with excellent communication and leadership skills. Experience in change management and a desire to advance pharmacy services aligned with national strategies are essential.

Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent, registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council, and a postgraduate qualification with Independent Prescribing certification.

The working pattern is Monday to Friday, with participation in weekend work, public holidays, and on-call duties.
