Overview

Kettering General NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced, motivated and dynamic clinical pharmacist with excellent communication and leadership skills to join our established, friendly clinical pharmacy team.

The post holder will be an integral part of the Pharmacy Education & Training and Women's & Children's services team for covering maternity leave until January 2027. They will contribute to the delivery of clinical pharmacy services to Women's & Children's services and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to provide expert advice on medicines management, medicines optimisation, and medication safety.

Main duties
  • To be responsible for organising and managing all aspects of trainee pharmacist training and assessment. To ensure the standards set down by the Higher Education Institute (HEI), NHSE, GPhC, Trust and Pharmacy department are met.
  • To manage and support trainee pharmacists, undergraduate placements, summer students and post-graduate diploma pharmacists.
  • To support the Regional NHSE TPF in the organising training for the trainee pharmacists.
  • To manage medicines management training for students, doctors and nurses
  • To deliver, develop and evaluate clinical pharmacy services to women\'s and children\'s services
  • To provide expert pharmaceutical advice, undertaking risk management and ensuring compliance with medicines legislation.
  • To ensure the efficient and cost-effective use of medicines utilising local and national data to drive improvements in efficiencies.
