Role: Advanced Band 7 Physiotherapist – Paediatric Neuro

Site: The Portland Hospital, London

Part-time permanent: 20hrs per week

We’re seeking an Advanced Band 7 Physiotherapist to join The Portland Hospital, rated “Good” by the CQC.

The Portland Hospital is the UK’s only private hospital dedicated to women and children’s healthcare. It is a fully private maternity hospital delivering over 1,600 babies annually, emphasizing safe, high-quality care, privacy, and dignity.

As an Advanced Paediatric Neuro Physiotherapist, you will work in the Paediatric Neuro Rehabilitation ward alongside the Neurorehabilitation Lead, supporting the SDR service, and managing general paediatric, orthopaedic, and respiratory patients. You may also provide cover for other physiotherapy team members, including weekend and on-call services.

You will manage a full clinical caseload, collaborate with other physiotherapists and the multidisciplinary team, and support service development initiatives.

  • Managing neurorehabilitation caseloads including assessments, goal setting, treatment planning, equipment provision, orthotics, and discharge planning.
  • Providing high-quality physiotherapy to neuro patients and supporting other hospital areas such as PICU, orthopaedic, and cardio-thoracic units.
  • Using expert clinical reasoning to deliver specialist interventions and advice.
  • Maintaining accurate treatment records and ensuring timely sessions and billing.
  • Working flexibly to meet service needs, including participating in out-of-hours and standby services.
