A local healthcare provider in Chelmsford is seeking an Advanced Occupational Therapist to join their team. The role involves managing an acute caseload in a Stroke unit, ensuring high-quality care, and leading a motivated team. Band 7 Advanced Occupational Therapist - Acute Stroke ward
Full time or part time hours will be considered.
Clinically, ensure the team deliver highly specialist and safe Occupational Therapy care, in line with national guidelines and standards. You will manage an acute caseload on an established Stroke unit (30 beds), with some outliers cohorted into an adjacent ward to align care with Stroke Unit parameters. You will help cultivate a culture where the patient’s therapy needs drive decisions, and source fast and appropriate onward rehabilitation options or support for prompt discharge based on strong clinical reasoning. You will lead and develop the team, and contribute to quality improvement ideas, with opportunities for further educational development based on personal development plans.
