A leading healthcare provider in London is seeking an Advanced Occupational Therapist to join their team in a fast-paced ICU/Respiratory setting. The ideal candidate will have significant clinical experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong ability to work in a team. This role involves delivering advanced therapy and leading assessments for patients with complex needs. Competitive salary of £53,751 to £60,651 annually.
Are you looking for a new challenge in a fast moving ICU/Respiratory setting? If you are an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 Occupational therapist with relevant experience. You will be a valued member of the integrated OT/PT therapy respiratory team as well as working closely with specialist SLTs and Dietitians.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to facilitate change and development and a flexible approach are essential. Clinical knowledge and experience working with critical care and respiratory patient cohorts is essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to have excellent teamworking skills and experience of service development in this area is desirable.
The post holder will be:
Delivering advanced Occupational Therapy intervention for our 21 bedded general Critical Care Unit and 22 bedded respiratory ward.
Taking a lead role in advanced cognitive/functional assessment and treatment of patients, who frequently have complex, acute and/or chronic conditions. This may include psychosocial /emotional and cognitive issues.
Responsible for participation in service reviews, audits and implementation of Evidence based therapy practice/standards alongside Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist, Highly Specialist Speech and Language therapist and Dietitian.
Providing formal supervision to Band 5/6 Occupational therapists and/or therapy assistants/students andinformal support to band 5/6 physiotherapists
