Overview

Vacancy: Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Location: St Mary Street Surgery (Thornbury)

Hours: 25 hours per week

Salary: Dependent upon experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic ANP to join our clinical team. We are looking for up to 25 hours per week. We are currently 7 GPs, 2 GP trainees, 2 ANPs and a nursing team of 6. We serve a population of 9000 and are part of the Severnvale Primary Care Network.

Job Summary:

  • This role will predominantly focus on same day medical need patients with input into our Learning Disability and Dementia reviews.
  • To work autonomously using their enhanced clinical assessment and treatment skills, to provide first point of contact for patients presenting with undifferentiated, diagnosed problems relating to minor illnesses or injury.
  • Make decisions based on assessment, diagnosis and interpretation of test results.
  • Independently prescribe appropriate medication, evaluate or refer to other specialists if necessary.
