This post may be considered as a training position under Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change terms & conditions.

We are seeking highly motivated staff to join our advanced practitioner teams within primary care at NHS Forth Valley.

Options available to applicants:

  • GP practice based: triaging and assessing urgent care presentations, including home visits if appropriate.
  • Flexible working in General Practice to promote work/life balance.
  • Part-time hours and various shift patterns, e.g., 8-6, 8-4, 9-5.

We seek experienced and motivated advanced nurse practitioners and paramedic practitioners capable of managing fluctuating workloads, working across professional boundaries, and being flexible.

Essential Qualifications for Band 7:

  • HEI accredited Clinical Examination & History Taking course
  • HEI accredited clinical decision-making module focused on primary care

Highly Desirable:

  • Previous advanced practice experience
  • Experience in autonomous primary care or out-of-hours practice
  • Experience managing undifferentiated urgent presentations, such as Emergency Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Paramedic Practitioner roles

Additional skills/qualifications:

  • Postgraduate diploma in advanced practice
