There has never been a more exciting time to work in primary care, and Waterside Primary Care Network (PCN) is expanding its Clinical Team.

We are seeking to recruit a positive, caring, and self-motivated individual to take on the role and work in our Urgent Care Centre (UCC).

Main duties of the job

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), you will be a leading example of clinical excellence, with a minimum of two years' experience, supporting colleagues in our friendly department, and providing advanced-level clinical assessment and care. With a range of diagnostics available to aid your clinical examination, the UCC environment is an ideal place to consolidate previous experience in Emergency Departments, Walk-in Centres, GP Practices, or OOH environments.

  • Experience of patients presenting with urgent and unscheduled care conditions

  • Wound Care / Removal of sutures & staples
  • ECGs
  • Venepuncture
  • New patient medicals
  • Chaperone procedures
  • Requesting pathology tests and processing results, advising patients accordingly
  • Diabetes, Asthma, CHD
  • Understanding the importance of evidence-based practice
