Job summary

Medico Partners is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) for our Out of Hours (OOH) service in Berwick-upon-Tweed. The role involves assessing and treating patients across all ages, providing telephone triage, centre-based consultations, and home visits, with a focus on urgent and palliative care.

Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) – Out of Hours

Location: Berwick-upon-Tweed

Salary: Competitive, DOE (Depending on Experience)

We are recruiting an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our Out of Hours (OOH) service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages.
• Provide telephone triage, centre-based consultations, and home visits.
• Deliver high-quality urgent and palliative care.
• Prescribe medication and maintain accurate clinical records.

Requirements

• Independent Prescriber (essential).
• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Advanced Clinical Practice, or working towards one.
• Confident treating patients of all ages.
• Happy to provide palliative care.
• Willing to undertake triage, centre visits, and home visits.
• Able to work across most service sites.
• Willing to pick up regular shifts where available.
• Reliable and committed to completing the onboarding process.
• Must live locally.

Mandatory OOH Training

• Online induction (weekday evening, 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm).
• Palliative Care training (weekday evening, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm).
• One 4-hour shadowing shift before working independently.
