This is a fantastic opportunity for an autonomous, forward-thinking clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a supportive and evolving primary care environment.

The successful candidate will work as part of a growing team, currently supported by four Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and benefit from a collaborative and educational setting as part of a recognised training practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions across all age groups.
  • Conduct consultations face-to-face, by telephone, or via video, depending on patient need.
  • Prescribe and review medication within your scope of practice and in line with current clinical guidelines.
  • Contribute to the delivery of nurse-led chronic disease management clinics (e.g. asthma, diabetes, hypertension).
  • Interpret test results and arrange further investigations or referrals as required.
  • Support the clinical team in dealing with urgent on-the-day cases and clinical emergencies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and clinical meetings.
  • Safeguard vulnerable patients and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions where appropriate.
  • Take part in mentoring or supervising students or trainees, depending on experience and interest.

What We Offer:

  • A flexible working schedule, with part-time and full-time hours considered to suit your work-life balance.
  • A well-supported environment with minimal administrative burden, thanks to a dedicated workflow and admin team.
  • A friendly and experienced clinical team including GPs, pharmacists, nurses, paramedics, first contact physiotherapists, and social prescribers.
  • Opportunities to develop specialist interests and contribute to service development.
  • Regular clinical meetings, peer support, and involvement in teaching and training, with support for ongoing professional development.
  • A commitment to team wellbeing, collaboration, and patient-first values.
  • Access to modern digital systems, including SystmOne, AccuRx, and Cinapsis.

Essential Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Advanced Clinical Practice.
  • Independent prescribing qualification.
  • Proven experience working autonomously in a primary care or urgent care setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development, and teamwork.

This is an excellent role for an ANP who thrives in a collaborative, inclusive environment and is looking to grow within a forward-thinking, well-supported general practice.
