A palliative care charity in Romford is seeking a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join their expert community. This role involves delivering high-quality clinical care, enhancing staff training, and contributing to continuous service improvement. Ideal candidates will have advanced clinical skills, leadership experience, and a passion for palliative and end-of-life care, in a supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary environment.
As an expert, will deliver high quality care to individuals, enable other practitioners to maintain professional expertise whilst exercising a high degree of autonomy. This will include 50% direct clinical practice and include non-medical prescribing.
Education, training and development function. Provide specialist training and education, establishing formal links with local education providers. They will participate in the development of students working towards professional registration as well as the learning and development of qualified staff. Professional leadership and consultancy function. Demonstrate leadership skills to support and motivate others and to continuously improve quality of care and standards of practice, providing a source expertise and knowledge.
Practice development, service evaluation and improvement function. Nurse practitioner will contribute to development of professional standards, through the promotion of evidence-based practice. They will also conduct research and evaluation of practice within their specialist field.
Research and Quality function. Collaborate and work alongside colleagues to identify and support Quality and Research activity and initiatives.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated, highly experienced nurse with palliative and end of life care practice and knowledge. The post holder will join our well-established expert community and ward nursing teams and medical services as a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
This post will provide varied senior experience in a multidisciplinary working environment both within the community services and the 18-bed ward, which will be undergoing redevelopment September 2025 - March 2026
We are looking for a candidate who has advanced communication and clinical assessment / prioritisation skills, as well as an understanding of the complex needs of those receiving expert palliative care /end of life care
In addition, competency in evidence-based practice and the ability share a sound knowledge of current initiatives and research developments in palliative care., Relevant experience of working atBand 7 or above,managing a complex clinical caseload with appropriate supporting qualifications as well as any evidence of appropriate leadership development.

We achieved Outstanding in our CQC inspection & have reconfigured our services to meet the changing needs of our local community. We support 5 Clinical Commissioning Groups & have a robust governance structure in place. We provide ward clinical services within a modern, personal & friendly 18-bedded unit, as well as Specialist Community Crisis Support Service, Hospice at Home Service & Specialist Day Therapy Service. We also have the hospice Pepperell Education Centre that has an excellent reputation for delivering high quality education programmes and study days.
