Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) – Nottingham
Full-Time & Part-Time Hours Available

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join a progressive, patient-focused GP practice located in Nottingham. About the Practice:

The clinical team consists of GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, and administrative staff who work closely together to meet the health needs of the local community. Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions.

  • Managing acute, minor illness, and long-term conditions within the scope of advanced practice.

  • Prescribing medications safely, appropriately, and in line with current legislation.

  • Ordering, interpreting, and acting upon diagnostic tests such as blood tests, x-rays, and ECGs.

  • Undertaking health promotion and disease prevention activities.

  • Supporting the delivery of QOF, Enhanced Services, and national/local health initiatives.

  • Working closely with the wider clinical and administrative team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

  • Participating in clinical audits, safeguarding processes, and contributing to service development.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner with MSc level training or equivalent qualifications.

  • Registered with the NMC, with Independent Prescribing (V300) qualification.

  • Proven experience working in a Primary Care or urgent care environment.

  • Confident in autonomous clinical decision-making and managing complex patient presentations.

  • Skilled in chronic disease management, minor illness management, and health promotion.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

  • Passionate about delivering high-quality care and committed to ongoing professional development.
