Job Description:

OneMK PCN is looking for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join their teams in Milton Keynes. The role involves making autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients registered with our GP Practices. Since September 2023, OneMedical Group has delivered excellent care services across 3 sites in Milton Keynes: Brooklands Health Centre, Whitehouse Surgery, and Neath Hill Health Centre.

As an Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner, you should have experience within a primary care setting, and your high standards of patient care will naturally inspire those you work with.

The role is accountable, in conjunction with the Lead Nurse, for the clinical governance of the practice and is designed to provide clinical leadership to ensure the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of services to all patients.

Responsibilities include:

• Being registered with current NMC/HCPC/GPhC registration
• Having a MSc in Advanced Practice or an equivalent qualification
• Being a certified Independent Prescriber
• Managing whole episodes of care as part of a larger MDT
• Exhibiting strong communication skills, patience, and a friendly attitude
• Working productively in a high-pressure environment with a can-do attitude
• Having primary care experience and experience in minor illness management

• Brooklands Health Centre: Located in Broughton, Milton Keynes, with good transport links, just a 5-minute walk from the nearest bus stop and under 2 miles from the M1 junction.
• Whitehouse Surgery: A purpose-built health centre accessible to all Milton Keynes residents, located along the V4, with ample parking. The team offers high levels of care and tailored services, including GPs, nurses, health coaches, pharmacists, social prescribers, and mental health workers. Support staff include a Business Manager, Senior Administrator, Receptionists, Medical Secretaries, and Clinical Coders.
