Job summary

Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Cambridge invites applications for a Clinical Fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) and Heart Transplantation. The post is for one year with possible extension by mutual agreement and offers sub-specialty training.

The Fellow will join the Transplant Unit and work with six transplant cardiologists and a rotating registrar, gaining experience in inpatient and outpatient care, clinics, labs, and multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Sub-specialty training in advanced heart failure, MCS and heart transplantation.
• Participation in clinical audit and research.
• Engagement in teaching and portfolio development.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of patient care under Consultant supervision with appropriate guidance.
• Read and follow the Transplant unit SOPs and maintain accurate notes.
• Attend clinics, catheter labs, ward rounds and clinical meetings.
• Undertake supervised procedures and contribute to teaching activities.
• Engage in training activities, maintaining portfolio and personal development plan.
• Participate in mandatory training and adhere to Trust policies.
